The SYBERAC vision is to deliver the underpinning science, methods and tools that can support a transition of terrestrial chemical risk assessment into a systems-based Environmental Risk Assessment (sb-ERA) designed to protect genetic and functional diversity and ecosystem services.
Project Scope
SYBERAC stands for “Towards a SYstems-Based, holistic Environmental Risk Assessment of Chemicals”.

Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA)
The project will develop systems-based Environmental Risk Assessment (ERA) approaches designed to assess the effects of cumulative and mixture exposure on landscape-level biodiversity and ecosystem functioning.
SYBERAC will achieve this by a collaborative knowledge-building process that integrates expertise and knowledge from relevant actors to improve understanding of how chemicals impact terrestrial ecosystems.
